Authors Ryan Yoder and Tiffiny Rye-McCurdy approached their new first edition general, organic and biochemistry text, “Fundamentals of Chemistry for Today” with a student-first mindset. With a passion for education, they wanted to create a relatable textbook focused on the important fundamentals and takeaways students would need to succeed, aiming to answer the question, “Why does chemistry matter to students?” in every example they included.
